It features “Berserk,” “Parasite,” and “Uzumaki,” which have garnered a lot of support over a long period of time due to their worldview, story, and artistry. This is a collection edited by UT from the perspective of a graphic t-shirt about the deep world of manga.
Born on 1963/7/31 in Nakatsugawa, Gifu Prefecture. After graduating from high school, I entered a dental technician school, and even though I got a job, I posted it with all my heart that I wanted Kazuo Umezu to read in the wake of the establishment of the “Monthly Halloween” (Asahi Sonorama) Rookie Manga Award “Umezu Award.” In 1986, he received an honorable mention for his work “Tomie.” This work became his debut work and became a masterpiece. After 3 years, I quit my job as a dental technician and concentrated on the manga family business. “Uzumaki” was serialized in “Weekly Big Comics Spirits” (Shogakukan) in 1998. Since then, they have continued to present their one and only works. It has achieved the feat of winning the US Eisner Award, which is one of the most prestigious manga artist awards in the world, 4 times in total. In 2023, it received high praise not only in Japan but also overseas, such as receiving the “Special Honor Award” at the Angoulême International Manga Festival in France, and the “Inkpot Award” at the San Diego Comic Con in the United States.
