Three years have passed since the final work in the "α" series, "The Third Super Robot Wars α ~To the End of the Galaxy~". The long-awaited new series for fans is finally starting on PS2! This time, all elements including the robots, characters, background graphics, and battle animations have been significantly renewed. Nine new works, including ``Overman King Gainer'', ``Sousei no Aquarion'', and ``Eureka Seven'' have joined the series, bringing the total number of recorded works to a whopping 22 works. For combat, the ``Tri-Battle System'' is adopted, which is a fusion of the platoon system of ``α'' and the twin battle system of ``OG''. The previous cost system has been abolished, and you can now form platoons of up to 3 units automatically or by yourself.
