I wore it for a week and it didn't turn black or anything, it just got wet when I washed my hands or went swimming in the pool or it didn't happen at all. So you can say for sure that it's silver. Edit to my review: After 5 months of wear it doesn't look like silver. It gets dark and has green spots. So unfortunately it's not real silver. So after 6 months you can throw it away.
